You are definately ahead of the game in terms of sales and management experience. Pharma companies look for people who have numbers that they can analyze from the previous industry that you are making the jump from. A sales manager wants to be able to benchmark you from your peers in terms of gauging how successful you were and how successful you would be for his/her team. As for training, Pharma companies provide all training for new hires. I maybe somewhat more difficult to understand the medical terminology and disease states. However, each company has their own rigorous program before they put you out into the filed.
