   Gave up on Pharma , and took a position in Clinical Research Coordination at Duke University. Love the people and decent salary--plus the upward path is very good and low pressure. No I don't get a company car, but don't really care. ;-)
   I wanted clinical research 2 years ago when I first left computer tech sales and consulting anyway....so this has worked out--AND we HELP cancer victims with surgery, new technologies, new compounds. Funny, two of my bosses are former pharma and are deleriously happy to be out of pharma.
   
   Thanks everyone and Best of Luck! If you are my age and female-(mid 40's) and are wasting your time trying to get hired as a brand new pharma rep with no experience in pharma--you might want to look elsewhere....just a hint---they like women to start under 40...and with great looks. I had the last part--but too old. ;-)

   Well I did not receive an offer from a pharma company. However, I was offered a sales position with Cintas Corp. I still get an excellent base salary...plus commission...car package and excellent benefits. It will give me that added b2b sales experience if I decide to pursue pharma sales in the future. Thanks to all in the message board who gave me wonderful advice.

    I start Monday with AstraZeneca and I am so excited! This is a wonderful opportunity and a great start to my career in Pharmaceutical Sales.
    Thanks to everyone who helped me with my bragbook, the job comparisons and the Business Plans. All of the advice about interviewing, detailing drugs, closing an interview and STAR questions was what helped me get this job- no doubt about it. The encouragement was exactly what I needed to help me keep going.
