Tell me about a time you persuaded someone professionally.

As is the case with many interview questions that require a STAR response. Thinking of an example is the toughest part. As with all questions that require a STAR response, make sure your example is fully-formed with tangible results. R - Results is the most important letter in the STAR acronym.

Ultimately, the interviewer wants to determine your understanding of the sales process, your ability and familiarity with message formulation (planning) and delivery (presentation), as well as your negotiation skills. Your example should highlight these three aspects of the scenario.

    I think the STAR acronym is something everyone should know! (I mean, everyone has to have an interview sometime in his/her life) Thanks! :)
