Tell me about your responsibilies at your current position.
Though there are some questions that you just can’t prepare for, this isn’t one of them. If you bring a bat to this ball park, you will hit a home run.
The interviewer wants to know how your current job has prepared you to be successful as a pharmaceutical sales representative. The best tool to present this information, your Career Comparison, should be placed in your Brag Book.
The Career Comparison lays out, in an easily read format . . .
- Your current responsibilities
- The skills required to meet those responsibilities
- How those skills will make you a great pharmaceutical sales rep
You can create a career comparison for each job you’ve held in order to show that you have the skills required to be a successful pharmaceutical salesperson. Don’t stop after you’ve printed the pages, however. Spend time practicing the message you will deliver when you have an opportunity to use this portion of your brag book.
If you find this site helpful, please send a link to your career services department so your fellow alumni know about PharmBoard too! I've already written the message for you. :)

If someone doesn’t currently have a job, this question is kind of pointless, but it’s definitely good to know to store in the back of your mind.
