Why should we hire you?

Pharmaceutical sales, or all sales for that matter, is about competition. Businesses that don’t compete don’t get to stay in business. It’s just that simple.

Another invitation to sell yourself, the question “Why should we hire you?” is an outright effort to learn more about your ability to organize a presentation, articulate your message, deliver, handle objections, and close the interview. The answer to this question should be an expanded version of your that highlights and gives examples of your competitive nature, motivations, work ethic, desire to succeed, and your commitment to your team. The words and descriptions you use should match those of the company’s mission, values, and vision.

    I just want to say that this website has helped me so much! Thank you!

    Since having graduated from college I have only applied to three Pharma Co’s.

    1 of which I got a call back from, I’ve completed the interview process and now I’m one of the top two candidates waiting on a call back for an offer!!!…….This question ‘Why should we hire you’ is the most obvious, however I get nervous during phone interviews and my final interview was over the phone…to help myself I typed a list of all the reasons I should be chosen for the job…that way I could refer to it while on the phone if need be…It really helped! I glanced at the list but I already knew all of the reasons why from having practiced the question.

    I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

    Good luck to everyone going through the same process as well!
